Purple Dancer
This title was suggested by just about everyone who saw it saying that they saw a dancing man. (The “purple” was my idea).

These are at once both comical and graceful, and exhibit more personality than many other orchids.
I like the abstract images in this photo. I let people guess what it is they are seeing.

The original photo was taken in a greenhouse and I did not like the background at all, so I fabricated this purple to compliment the orchid.
These are a pond plant, and fairly rare (in my experience). I only came across it in bloom this one time but I’d love to see it again.

The last ray of afternoon sun hit this blossom for only a moment, and that night we had our first frost and the plant was gone.
These two hibiscus blossoms seemed to me to be attracted to each other.
I had a really great time embellishing this little flower using Photoshop. I foundĀ it sitting all alone in a off limits room at Longwood Gardens.
