The Beach

Although the summer is too hot for someone with MS to deal with, the hour or two before sunset is great at the beach. There is always a breeze, and often storms blow in quickly.  The drama of a storm with the colors of sunset is a great photographic opportunity.

These clouds were an interesting grouping and great color, but my favorite thing about them is that they really look like a painting to me.

Iris

Here is a backyard Iris that I liked quite alot. I knew just what time of the day the sun would light up the background.

Wine Glass

My wife and I were in the backyard relaxing when I took my Nikon zoomed into the glass of wine she was drinking.  I then cropped it so it turned into an abstract that could be interpreted as almost anything.

Orchid Tree (series)

The great thing about growing your subjects is that you can see immediately when the light is right. This Singapore Orchid Tree blooms for a month and there are many opportunities  for interesting pictures.  I especially like the morning light — it brings out the warmth and creates some great shadows.
