Hello World
Some orchids anthropomorphically speaking seem to have a little person in the middle. I see this one and it seems to say to me “Hello world”. Thus the title.

I’ve been in love with these awesome flowers for decades; I first saw them at Longwood Gardens in PA and now see them regularly here in FL.
This shot is from Hawk Mountain in eastern PA. The afternoon was cool and overcast with the scent of fallen leaves.
This title was suggested by just about everyone who saw it saying that they saw a dancing man. (The “purple” was my idea).
These are at once both comical and graceful, and exhibit more personality than many other orchids.
I like the abstract images in this photo. I let people guess what it is they are seeing.
One of my first and favorite orchid images. The title is courtesy of my framer.
The original photo was taken in a greenhouse and I did not like the background at all, so I fabricated this purple to compliment the orchid.
These are a pond plant, and fairly rare (in my experience). I only came across it in bloom this one time but I’d love to see it again.
This is the companion piece to the White Mum already posted.
